Heat transfer printing is a newer decoration method, but it's come a long way from the iron-on decals of old. With heat transfer, also known as digital transfer, your custom logo or design is printed onto transfer paper and then ink is thermally transferred from the paper to your fabric using heat and pressure.
The heat transfer machine uses sublimation transfer paper to adhere to the cloth surface and uses high temperature and high pressure to perform sublimation transfer.
The heat transfer machine is mainly used for printing blended and chemical fiber. General dark cloth printing and cotton content up to 30% or more are not suitable for printing with this machine.
Why can't dark cloth print?
For example: take a red pen and write on black cloth. Can you see the red words? Even if you see it, it's not the red you see. The effect is no longer what I want. This is also the printing process of sublimation transfer. The combination of dark cloth with disperse dyes and the dyeing effect of the two dyes.
Why is the cotton content greater than 30% not suitable for this process?
Higher cotton content is not impossible to print. The printing effect is particularly poor, and it is easy to discolor. This is mainly due to the low affinity of cotton fabrics with disperse dyes.
