Key Factors of the sublimation transfer process
In the process of sublimation transfer, many times we find that the final product we transferred out is not as good as our own standards or intentions. But we found that others did not differ much in their use of the sublimation transfer process. So what went wrong? Let the finished product make such a big difference. In fact, our company has long researched that the process parameter setting discussed in the process of thermal transfer research includes three aspects, transfer temperature, transfer time, and transfer pressure.
(1) Temperature
The sublimation transfer process requires that the temperature be controlled within a reasonable range that meets the requirements. The temperature is too low, the sublimation dye does not sublimate or is insufficient, the ink does not transfer or the amount of transfer is insufficient, it cannot be colored or the thickness of the imprinted film layer is thin, the imprinting is dim, and the saturation is poor. If the temperature is too high, it will affect the physical and chemical properties of the fabric, easily cause the fabric to yellow, and affect the printing effect. At the same time, too high temperature will destroy the internal structure of the ink, decompose part of the ink and cause color deviation of the graphics.
(2) Time
The transfer time is short, the dye transfer amount is insufficient, and the time is long enough to facilitate the full transfer of the dye. At the same time, it is necessary to pay attention to the reasonable allocation between temperature and time. The general transfer time is 12-24hz / s, which is the most common speed for making common goods in this market. I also want to achieve the most ideal speed.
(3) Pressure
Pressure is also one of the important parameters of the thermal transfer process. If the pressure is too small, the gap between the fabric and the transfer paper is large, and a large amount of ink gas molecules collide with the air to lose it, resulting in poor printing results. At the same time, the ink is also easy to spread to the graphic boundaries on the fabric, making the lines thick and the image blurred . If the pressure is appropriate, the space between the fabric and the transfer paper is moderate, and the ratio of the amount of dye attached to the surface of the fabric and the amount of diffusion inside the fabric is appropriate, the pattern is clear and the lines are fine. If the pressure is too large, defects such as image distortion, fabric compression deformation, and surface coloration are liable to occur. Therefore, controlling transfer pressure is very important for fabric transfer.
